Bernard D. Friedman
Bernard D. Friedman has been a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars since 1977 and 1979, respectively. He is admitted to practice before all State Courts in New York and New Jersey, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern District of New York, the District of New Jersey, and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits. He received a B.A. in 1973 from Queens College (C.U.N.Y.) and is a 1976 cum laude graduate of New York Law School. He is a member of the Maritime Law Association of the United States, the American Association for Justice, The New York State Trial Lawyers Association, The New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of New Jersey. Mr. Friedman has a Martindale-Hubbell rating of AV. He has been named by Thomson Reuters as a New York Super Lawyer for 2010-2023 in the field of Maritime Personal Injury—the selection methodology includes a statewide nomination process, followed by peer review by practice area and independent research. The resulting list of Super Lawyers represents the top 5% of the attorneys in New York City.
